Analogue process implemented digitally
A process for the tests was developed within a very short time and the test centre was set up accordingly. In order to make the handling of the tests from registration to invoicing as efficient as possible, software was developed at lightning speed that covers this completely and tracks the sample all the way to the laboratory: PROCESS.
Scaling and normalisation
After the brilliant start in Belp, PROCESS grew bigger and bigger, which is also when I was brought into the project. In addition to Belp, PROCESS was now also used in other test centres throughout Switzerland. Mass tests were planned and carried out, all paperless and digital. We developed without a break, sometimes releasing features several times a day. At the beginning of 2022, we switched back to normal operations and set up our own Scrum framework in which we continued to develop and operate PROCESS until mid-2023.
Conclusion
During the operating period, PROCESS processed almost 2,000,000 tests; at peak times, the samples were analysed in parallel in 5 different laboratories. It was a mammoth project, which certainly did not always run perfectly, but can still be considered a great success all in all!
